Note: All IMAP usage from October 2022 will require Device Password.
Step 1: Open the Start menu and select Programs, then Messaging, then New E-mail Account.
Step 2: For E-mail Address, enter your PSMail address (ex. username@psmail.net). NOTE: Windows Mobile 6.1 users should enter an unintelligible address here (ex. g@g) in order to bypass the automatic configuration for POP access.
Step 3: Uncheck the box asking to get settings automatically from the Internet. Then select Next.
Step 4: In the drop-down menu, select Internet e-mail as your email provider.
Step 5: Enter your name as you want it displayed on outgoing emails. Also, enter a title for the account (ex. My PSMail). Then select Next.
Step 6: For Incoming Mail Server, enter “mail.psmail.net.” Then select IMAP4 as the Account type and select Next.
Step 7: Enter your PSMail address (ex. username@psmail.net) and password. Then select Next.
Step 8: For Outgoing (SMTP) Mail Server, enter “mail.psmail.net.” The Outgoing server requires authentication box should be checked.
Step 9: Select the Advanced Server Settings link.
Step 10: Check the Require SSL box for both incoming and outgoing email. Also, select The Internet as the network connection in the drop-down menu. Then select Done and then Next.
Step 11: Adjust how often your phone will send/receive email by selecting an option from the drop-down menu. Other options can be adjusted by selecting the Review all download settings link.
Step 12: Select Finish and you’re done!
