SETUP: IMAP for Outlook 2007 and later

[If usingย  outlook 2013, once the program is open click on “Alt-F” you will see a menu where you can “Add Account”, once you get to this screen the instructions are very similar to Outllok 2007 below]

Step 1: Open Outlook and click on the Tools menu. Select Account Settings….

Step 2: On the E-mail tab, click New….

Step 3: For E-mail Address, enter your PSMail address (ex. For Password, enter your PSMail password. (Your Name is the display name that will appear on outgoing email and can be entered per your preference.)

Step 4: Check the box next to Manually configure server settings or additional server types. Then click Next.

Step 5: Select Internet E-mail. Under User Information enter your name (ex. John C. Doe) and your PSMail address (ex.

Step 6: Under Server Information, select IMAP from the Account Type drop-down menu. Enter “” for both the Incoming and Outgoing mail servers.

Step 7: Under Logon Information, enter your PSMail address and password. Then click Next to end the setup process.

Step 8: In the Tools menu, select Options and then Mail Setup.

Step 9: Under Email Accounts, click E-mail Accounts.

Step 10: Select your new account and click Change. Then click More Settings and then the Advanced tab.

Step 11: The Incoming server should be “993” and must use SSL encryption. The Outgoing server should be “465” and must also use SSL encryption.

Step 12: In the Outgoing Server tab, make sure that the My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication box is checked and that the Use same setting as my incoming mail server radio button is selected.

Step 13: Click OK, then Next, then Finish. Finally, click Close and OK. You’re done!
