SETUP: POP3 for Windows Mail

Step 1: Open Windows Mail and click the Tools menu. Then select Accounts….

Step 2: Click Add…, and select Email Account. Then click Next.

Step 3: Enter your name as you would like it to appear on outgoing emails, and then click Next.

Step 4: Enter your PSMail address (ex. username@psmail.net).

Step 5: Fill in the following:

  • In the Incoming mail server type dropdown menu, select POP3.
  • Both Incoming mail (POP3 or IMAP) server and Outgoing e-mail server (SMTP) name should be “mail.psmail.net”.
  • Check the box next to Outgoing server requires authentication.

Step 6: Click Next.

Step 7: Enter your PSMail address (ex. username@psmail.net) and password. Then click Next.

Step 8: Check the box next to Do not download my e-mail at this time, and then click Finish.

Step 9: On the Internet Accounts screen, select your mail.psmail.net account and click Properties.

Step 10: Click the Advanced tab. For Outgoing mail (SMTP), enter “465” into the field. For Incoming mail (POP3), enter “995”.

Step 11:ย Check both boxes next to This server requires a secure connection (SSL).

Step 12: Click OK and you’re done!
