POP3 Setup Instructions for Windows Mobile 5 and 6.
Step 1: Select Start on your Windows Mobile device.
Step 2: Select Messaging and then New E-mail Account.
Step 3: For E-mail address, type in your PSMail account address (e.g. johndoe@psmail.net). Then click Next.
Step 4: Click Next on manual setup.
Step 5: For Your Name, enter your first and last name (e.g. John Doe).
Step 6: For Account Display Name, enter a title for the account (e.g. PSMail Account). Then click Next.
Step 7: For Incoming mail server (POP3), type “mail.psmail.net”. Leave the account type as POP3. Then click Next.
Step 8: For Username, enter your PSMail username (e.g. johndoe@psmail.net), and for Password, enter your PSMail password. Make sure Save Password is checked before clicking Next.
Step 9: For Outgoing SMTP mail server, type “mail.psmail.net”. Make sure the boxes for outgoing server requires authentication and use same username and password for sending e-mail are both checked.
Step 10: Click Advanced server settings. Make sure that both Require SSL for incoming e-mail and Require SSL for outgoing e-mail are selected.
Step 11: Under Network connection, select which network connection you want to use (e.g. The Internet).
Step 12: Click Done. Then click Next.
Step 13: Under automatic send/receive, select how often you want your Windows Mobile device to download new e-mail from the server (e.g. every 5 minutes).
Step 14: Click Finish.
Step 15: To ensure that everything is working properly, select Menu and then Send/Receive. You should get any new e-mail that was on the server.
NOTE: To set your preferences for whether or not mail will be deleted from the server once it is collected to your mobile device, click Advanced Settings. When you have changed this preference to your liking, click Done.
