| Choose strong passwords |

PSMail Quick Tip: Repeat after me, "I will choose strong passwords." Easy passwords are the winkest link in your security. A good password is long, has a mixture of letters and numbers or special characters, doesn't spell a word, and is not easy for anyone to guess. A long password (like a PassPhrase) is better than a short complex password.
A common PassPhrase like "beam me up Scotty" is a bad choice, especially if you are a known Star Trek fan. Some password breakers use a book of the 40,000 most used quotes and phrases. . A good trick is to assign number values to words and embed random characters, or randomly capitalize certain letters. Using this kind of "04d speL%ing5" and CaP!tal!ZaTiOn" will extend the thief's search by about 1 million tries per word. For help with great password schemes, contact PSMail!
