PSMail Updates:
Server updates Dec 2008

PSMail updates from December 2008:

PSMail email system and backend software has been updated to provide better performance for our clients with email collection and delivery. The folder quota has been increased, current specifications allow for 20 Mbytes on each folder and a total of 200 Mbytes for all folders.
SPAM system was also modified to simplify setup. Additional option to either quaratine or delete SPAM has been reduced only two option, "Enable Spam Control" or use "Basic Spam Control." . Users still have he option to "Whitelist all emails", which will eliminate any messages being quarantined by our spam protection system. Any questions, please email postmaster.

PSMail updates from August 2008:

Our mail and web systems will soon be updated with a new 2048 bit SSL certificate. If you are using Eudora or other email clients where trust for certificate needs to setup, please do so one time after this update. Typical browsers and systems will automatically detect the new certificate and settings, so change is required in the client systems.

PSMail updates from June 2008:

Maximum message size has been increased from 3 MBytes to 10 Mbytes. However to support users who have poor connections (as their mailboxes may be clogged by large messages) a new feature called "archive large messages" has been added to PSMail menu. Click here to access your archive settings. Messages that exceed the archive size will be saved in an archive folder for 30 days. They can be collected online via a unique URL and message key provided to you to your email address. If you loose the message key or the URL information, you cannot retrieve the message. If your archive settings is greater than maximum mesage size (currently 10 Mbytes), your messages will never be archived but always be delivered. Archive feature is mainly to protect your mailbox from locking up from large messages. The feature is useful if you have a poor or slow internet connection like dial-up, satellite or bandwidth limited DSL (below 512 MBits/sec). Note: Default archive settings in 3 Mbytes

PSMail updates from April 2007:

  1. QUOTA and MAILBOX UPDATES:

PSMail has increased quota provision for your PSMailbox to provide additional Inbox storage for its customers. This means your Inbox can now have 50 MBytes of storage compared to the previous 20 MBytes storage.

The quota increase will also allow you to have up to 10 online folders, each with a maximum storage of 5 Mbytes. The limit of 5 MBytes for each folder helps organize information and allows for faster searches of folders.
To accommodate for slow network connections, each message size is still limited to 3 Mbytes, which translates to a maximum attachment size of 2.4 MBytes.

  2. SEND or RECEIVE LARGE FILES:

We provide a secure way for you to send and receive large files -- up to 100 MBytes from (or to) friends, colleagues and family.

As a PSMail customer you can send large files securely to others by logging into your mail and clicking "Send Large Files" on your left menu. ( https://mail.psmail.net )

If your contacts are NON-PSMail users, you can have them send files securely by visiting the website at: http://info.psmail.net/goto/sendfiles
