PSMail News Dec 2009 Print E-mail

Dear PSMail Customers,

Autumn is here in the States and, just like the leaves, PSMail is changing. In order to bring you an even better secure e-mail service we are very pleased to announce that, in addition to upgrades to your e-mail accounts, we have also added two new services to further enhance your user experience. We are grateful for your business and are eager to continue improving the way you use PSMail at work and home for all your secure communication needs.
The following is a summary of the upgrades and updates have been made to your account. More detailed descriptions, as well as links to PSMail online help pages, follow.
•    Your Inbox and folder storage limit has quadrupled -- from 50 to 250 Mbytes!  Other limits have also been increased, like allowable number of folders and message size.
•    Users can now securely send and receive large documents using our PSFiles – up to 500 MBytes of data.
•    IMAP Secure now supports the use of IMAP for roaming clients including iPhone, Blackberry and Palm devices.
•    VPN Service now includes redundant setup to provide secure and reliable access to PSVPN.
1. QUOTA and MAILBOX UPDATES:
PSMail has increased the storage quota for your PSMailbox to provide additional Inbox storage. This means your Inbox can now have 250 MBytes of storage compared to the previous 50 MBytes.
The quota increase allows you to have up to 10 online folders, each with a maximum storage of 25 Mbytes. The limit of 25 MBytes for each folder helps organize information and allows for faster searches on folders and reliable synch with phone and other lightweight devices.
Also, in order to accommodate slower network connections, the maximum size for each e-mail message has been modestly increased to 20 Mbytes.  Inbox messages that exceed 3 Mbytes will be saved in the archive section so your Inbox is not cluttered.  These messages can be collected via a URL that will be sent to you via email for each archived message. You can change these settings by logging into https://mail.psmail.net/ , going to "Manage Account", and clicking "Archive Settings."
PSLists messages are also increased to a moderate 1 Mbytes and can still be sent to groups of up to 300 people. Larger messages – up to 20 Mbytes - are saved on our server and can be downloaded later through a unique URL emailed to the recipients.  This is designed to reduce clutter in the mailbox of the group recipients.
Details of the email account specifications can be found online at http://info.psmail.net/psmj/content/view/27/41/ .
2. SEND or RECEIVE LARGE FILES:
We provide a secure way for you to send and receive large files -- up to 500 Mbytes - from (or to) friends, colleagues and family. In order to send large files, simply log into your mail and click "Send Large Files" on the left hand menu. (https://mail.psmail.net/mail/)
If your contacts are NON-PSMail users, you can have them send files securely by visiting the website at: http://info.psmail.net/goto/sendfiles
3. IMAP Secure
PSMail now supports secure IMAP protocol.  IMAP offers two-way communication between your PSMail account and your email clients. This means that actions you perform on email clients and mobile devices (ex: putting mail in a ’work’ folder) will instantly and automatically appear in PSMail online.

In addition, IMAP also provides a better method to access your mail from multiple devices. If you check your email at work, on your mobile phone, and again at home, IMAP ensures that new mail is accessible from any device at any given time.  Our IMAP communications are secured by SSL protocol and provide you with the same security you have enjoyed with your PSMail account using other methods of access.

4. VPN Service update
Multiple VPN servers have been upgraded to provide more reliable network presence for your VPN.  These servers provide a high performance network presence and allow you to safely browse the internet from adhoc locations such as airports, free/open wireless services and internet cafes.  NOTE: Our SSLVPN provides the easiest way for you to access the network services we provide. Learn more by logging in at https://mail.psmail.net/ and then click on PSVPN .  We have also updated our SSLVPN instructions for Windows Vista at our website. Please visit https://mail.psmail.net/, once you are logged in click on PSVPN link.

We at PSMail sincerely hope that these enhanced services will make your use of PSMail even more practical and beneficial than it already is. We are committed to continual improvements and look forward to providing you with secure, easy-to-use service well into the future.
Also, be sure to visit our website regularly to check on further updates to our system http://info.psmail.net/psmj/ .

At your service,
PSMail Team
P.S. We value your feedback! Send us your input and suggestions.
