SETUP: Email client using IMAPS
( 14 Articles )
A PSMailbox subscription includes secure IMAPS (Internet Message Access Protocol Secure). IMAPS allows you to seamlessly access your PSMail account from multiple computers using multiple email clients. Changes you make (email deletions, flags, etc.) will automatically be mirrored on the other computers you use. With its SSL encryption for transport, IMAPS is a secure and efficient choice for roaming users and users who regularly need to access their email from several locations. In addition, IMAPS is very connection friendly and works with even an intermittent network connection.

SETUP: Email client using POP3S
( 10 Articles )
POP3S (Post Office Protocol 3 Secure) is a secure message collecting protocol. POP3 is usually the default protocol for email clients and is ideal for users who access their PSMailbox from a single computer and have a very reliable internet connection. Messages are automatically collected from the PSMailbox to the local email client where they can be stored, replied to, etc. Generally, once a message has been collected by the client, it is deleted from the PSMailbox automatically, although settings may vary.

SETUP: VPN with SSLVPN
( 5 Articles )
Your PSMail subscription includes access to our VPN (Virtual Private Network) service. VPN allows you to tunnel your network traffic into one of our core locations (currently in the UK, US, and Canada). This "tunneling" allows you access to the Internet as if you were in one of these locations (this is ideal for security purposes, as well as for allowing access from within restricted locations). PSMail offers two VPN options. This section covers our preferred VPN service, SSLVPN, which is hardened and protected against "man in the middle" attacks. Read more in our FAQ secion. Note: PPTP VPN is disconitnued from support. If you are planning to use VPN on a smartphone (iphone, android etc.), you can use our Mobile VPN Setup.
